Why Design?
Since my early childhood, design has always been my passion!
I’ve always been 100 percent devoted to my passion for design and expressing my creative ideas through sketching, drawing, paintings. I took up freelancing work for “Tarpa”. Tarpa is a resort in India where you can experience the rural culture of India, traditional home-made food, and tranquillity amidst mother nature.
For them, I illustrated life stories of Warli people(an indigenous tribe of western India) on clay pots, photo frames, and handmade keychains. At the resort, they exhibited my artifacts and sold them to tourists. It was a satisfying experience to know that people love your artwork.
With my background in computers science, and my passion for these various kinds of fine art designs, I decided to explore digital prototype development. As I designed more functional products I realized I wanted to more about human interaction design so I completed a Masters in Interaction Design where I used product thinking and coding skills to design and develop user-centric experiences for kids, seniors, university students, travelers.
For example, during my masters program I joined Bridgegood, a nonprofit organization where I worked on Google-funded Virtual Tours creation project and I created 360 degree experiences of local businesses to market and increase their business revenue. I also had an opportunity to participate in many design events where I learned design strategies from designers at Samsung, Airbnb, Twitter, and Kaiser Permanente.
As I continue to merge my technical knowledge with my designing skills to create engaging and innovative products that impact millions.
I invite you to reach out for a cup of coffee or tea to discuss the next great design trends or a project you would like to collaborate on.
